The ground workers are the only team on site again this week and they are making good progress with the main drainage, this week work commenced on the larger manholes and pipes directly inside the site entrance. Throughout the build the issue of Health and safety is always of up most importance, by undertaking this work at this stage of the build we have
eliminated the risk to other site operatives and the logistical issues regarding site deliveries.

The drainage to the rear of the building was completed this week and the ground levels prepared ready for the paving flags to be laid. It was also important this week to load out not only the paving flags needed to this elevation but to also load out the stone required to build up to the 1st scaffold lift. Once the remaining foundation is poured it wont be possible too access this area with heavy plant.


The top soil to this area was also delivered.

The substructure brick work was completed this week, the bricklayers will return to site in a couple of weeks once the remaining foundation raft has been formed to units 9 &10
 


Until then while there is good access to the back of the building a start on the drainage has been made.

This week saw the bricklayers make a good start on all the substructure work while the ground workers started on the drainage.

Before the final part of the foundation raft can be installed a culvert diversion has to take place to enable an existing surface water run to be redirected from under the soon to be foundation to Plots 9 &10.

Work on the foundation raft was completed this week and the concrete poured the bricklayers will be on site next week ready to make a start on the substructure work.
